Today I am contemplating bags. Shopping bags that is. I have this whole French, country, lemon picking, stripey, polka doty, chic thing going on with my packaging. I don't want it to feel too rustic, and I don't want it to feel too refined. Somewhere in between.
And I have been using kraft bags with rope handles for my shopping bags. (The one on the top.) I think they look very cute with a yellow and white stiped grosgrain bow on one side and yellow and white polka dot tissue popping out. I am running out of these kraft bags and am wondering if I should up the ante on the next batch.
I would like my name and website to be printed on the bags. I think this is necessary if I want to look professional. But I am wondering how important a bag is. I have been looking at some very nice, high quality bags. (The one on the bottom.) The kind you would find in a high end boutique. They are a little more than double what my kraft bags will be with my name imprinted on them. Is it worth it?
On one hand, I tend to toss bags if they aren't thick and beautiful. I love beautiful packaging and the more luscious the bag, the more I want to buy. On the other, my trunk show, online, shoppe trifecta means I am not selling things in a traditional forum. Some people won't get a bag (online customers). Do people care? Do my bags now looks cute enough?
I am getting ready to go to a trunk show. And will most likely use up a few of my bags. Maybe the gals there will give me some insight... Any thoughts?
i think the original bags were adorable! and i think that for the price of the goods- they are MORE than cute enough! but thats just me...
ReplyDeleteI love the original bags. I think they will be fabulous with your name on them! They balance well with your tissue and ribbon, I wouldn't change them.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! I went with the same bags with my logo on them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your advice!
