Sister's Baby Shower

If you can't tell, I am a wee bit excited for Sister to have a baby. I think Maebel (pronounced like maple syrup with a "B") is going to be the sweetest thing ever, and I just can't wait to meet her.

Today, is Sister's family baby shower. Since, most of our family live outside of Olympia, we are heading up to Seattle for a "sea" themed event. I can't reveal all of the tricks we have up our sleeve, but Sweet Peach has come up with some really creative games and we put the finishing touches on the event yesterday. Cute! Cute! Cute!

One of my favorite things about the whole event is the invitations. I absolutely LOVE them. I am kind of a paper snob and in a world where everything can look the same, these scream my sister. The are etheral and fabulous.

Baby Showers: Champagne and Deviled Eggs

I have been listening to a book on tape about religion, and I have some pretty profound (or at least I think they are :) thoughts to share and questions to ask about what religion is and what it means for us. But for now, I am in Whitefish, Montana celebrating the soon to be mama, Montana Belle and her sweet little It'll. The weekend will be filled with love and good food, not philosophical thought. So we will table the religion post.

After a lovely dinner with my co-host, Schezwan Shrimp, Montana Belle and I at Latitude 48 (the chicken was delic!) we are back at the house fixing some deviled eggs for tomorrow. Let's just say, we are enjoying ourselves. What fun to be with such wonderful ladies!

Baby Showers Galore!

Tis the season to be knocked up! I have sooo many friends that are expecting. I think there was something in the water. (P.S. We carry the cutest "Knocked Up" Dogeared necklace. I am co-hosting 3, not 1, not 2, but 3, baby showers this spring. Pump Wearing Parole Officer is knocked up, Sister is knocked up, and Montana Belle is knocked up! These are all going to be unique and fabulous showers. I have been scouring the Internet for appropriate invitations and found some! I can't post pictures now, because it would ruin the surprise for all of the guests. :)

I have also been looking for unique games, decorations, favors, etc. Baby showers are one of those things that can get painfully generic, so a little creativity goes a long way. There are so many creative people out there. I am planning on scalping as many ideas as I can :). I love these bottles for a baby girl shower.
