Today, 6 Par Farmer and I went to lunch with Desert Darling and Salsa Verde. Our friends had been recommending Sushi House in Olympia, WA for quite sometime, but I had never tried it. Now that I have, I can say, without reservation, it is the best sushi in Olympia. (Since Koibito got new owners and fell from its former greatness.)
Things felt festive from the start. We took off our shoes and sat at a traditional Chabu Dai, low, Japanese table. To start off our meal, our waitress brought us complimentary small sashimi salads. The fish was SO fresh and the dressing was neither sweet nor spicy. Delicious. We then shared Choi Rolls, Rock Star Rolls, Spicy Tuna Rolls, Miso Soup, Salmon Skin Salad, and some Teriyaki Chicken. I was drooling the whole time and was left feeling almost, but not quite, too full.
Desert Darling, Salsa Verde, and 6 Par Farmer are great lunch company. Sushi House has attentive service and delicious food. All and all, an A+ for lunch. I will definitely be back.
Agreed, it is really good. We got takeout last time I was in town. Let's go next time I'm up!
