Amy's Top 5 at The Met Ball

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen take the honors for most attractive couple  at last night's Met Ball.

Per Wikipedia, The Costume Institute Gala (or Costume Institute Ball), known as the Met Ball and nicknamed the "Oscars of the East," in an annual ball that celebrates the opening of the Metropolitan Museum's (The Met) fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute.  The red carpet evening where celebrities arrive dressed to impress is described as the fashion industry's "Night of Nights."  Fashion industry experts and style magazines consider the event, which is hosted by Vogue, to be the fashion world's best red carpet event.  It is regarded as the top annual social event in New York City.  This year, the theme of the event was "Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations."

If ever there was a time for fabulous dresses, this is it.  I am drooling just looking at all of them.  

These are my top five.  It was like picking my five favorite children or my five favorite travel destinations or my five favorite types of cake.  Tough, I say.

5.  La La Anthony in Zac Posen

I love the traditional silhouette in this rockin' shade of blue.  Color is the way to go!

4.  Nina Dobrev in Donna Karen Atelier

I love the train.  I love the gold and black wash.  I love the silk chiffon & burnt out metal sequins with gold lined beads.  I love.

3. Emma Stone in Alber Elbaz

This red satin dress with hand embroidered crystals in sweet and spicy, just like Emma Stone.  Love the short, playful poof.

 2.  Solange Knowles in Rachel Roy

The peplum is so on trend.  The yellow looks fabulous with her skin tone.  And did I mention the yellow?

1.  Karolina Kurkova in Rachel Zoe Collection

Rachel Zoe, you had me at rose gold sequins, but then you put a TURBAN on top and I thought I might faint.  Gorgeous, elegant, classic, timeless, and current.  A stunner and my pick for number one outfit of the evening.  Doesn't hurt that Karolina Kurkova is a gorgeous supermodel...

P.S.  I liked Christina Ricci's dress.  It is getting quite mixed reviews.
