What Do You Love?

Happy Valentine's Day!  It is funny to me what a polarizing holiday this is.  People either love it or hate it.  They are either running around trying to purchase the perfect present or complaining about the commercialism of the whole thing.  It makes some recognize the love they have and others remember how lonely they are.

I think Valentine's Day is fab.  It is a day to think about all of the things you love.  I love Champagne, chartreuse, my mom, catalogs and magazines, ultra fine point Sharpies, kindness, my niece, crab legs, looking at calendars, planning vacations, my fabulous friends, cashmere, courage, triple creme cheese, my dad, heated seats, the perfect baguette, Lana Del Rey, a good speak easy, my sister, attention to detail, things that are soft, kombucha, leggings, snow, courage, and a whole heck of a lot of other things.  I don't need a holiday to remember all of the things I love, but I kind of like that there is a holiday dedicated to all of them.  Jesus has a holiday.  MLK has a holiday.  Even Columbus has his own holiday, and it sounds like he was kind of a butt head.  Love should certainly have its own holiday too.

So, happy Valentine's Day.  What do you love?
